Silver glass feels cold. Bronze had never been done. At the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, we laid a bronze mirror floor that turned the entire room into a living reflection. Orchids and crystal fringe hung from a circular ceiling installation above, their petals suspended mid-fall, caught forever in the warmth of the bronze below. Round tables echoed the circle overhead, bringing the whole world into closure. The bride's gown trailed across the floor and doubled itself in the reflection. Blush roses crowded the tables. Candles rose in glass columns. Everything connected. Everything answered itself. This was the most chic room I had ever built and it started with one question — what if the floor was bronze?
